“It’s really exciting for me to have a round of the W2RC in my home country, South Africa, I have been taking part in the Dakar and other international BAJA events for many years but have never had the opportunity to compete in a W2RC event in South Africa and that’s an awesome prospect.’ I think it is very well deserved to have South Africa host the event as 56% of the vehicles competing in the Dakar are manufactured in South Africa. It is long overdue to bring the W2RC here and I am extremely excited and from my experience racing in South Africa, I am confident that this event will be a huge success.”
